January 11, 1985 - July 9, 1977Why should this not be a holiday? I urge each and every one of you to write your Senator & Congressman to make this a national holiday...
Alice Paul needs to be recognize, do you realize most young people of today do not know who she is. Has NOW or any other women's organization seen to that. "NO"
This is a time to honor Ms. Paul. I respect her when she started her own party National Woman's Party.
NASWA ( National American Suffrage Women Suffrage Association) drop the ball just like NOW , they became out of touch and ineffective. Alice knew if she stuck with them she would have never achieved the goal of the right for women to vote. As Alice Paul so should we send a message to all these women's organizations the message; you dropped the ball and are out of touch. NOW, Ms Magazine, several others all jumped on the Obama camp, this man slung more sexist attacks at Hillary Rodham Clinton, and Governor Sarah Palin, like a prize fighter. Hence forth I believe we need to send these organization old undergarments let them know they have lost touch and they serve no purpose like the old undergarments. Look did you see these organizations step up with the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act. No you did not. They receive millions of dollars a year in donations, have you seen a promotion to get people involved or to inform the women of America about this legislation, no they have not. All I got was a general email from NOW that was it. As for NOW they made countless mistakes there is one that really has bothered me so? Every year they have a shindig in DC, this year they honored Hillary Rodham Clinton on her bid for President, at any time did they address the sexist attacks from the media to the candidate they endorsed "Obama" ( Before the convention they change from Hillary to him ). Sadly at this time of the shindig Seneca Falls celebrated 160 year Women's Rights first convention and all it got was an honorable mention."Let's" honor Alice Paul on her "Birthday" by getting active, send this message to everyone you know...

"NOW"I thought for day's what would be the correct action against The National Organization of Women. I mean come on they lost focus, they endorsed a man for president who does not give his Senate staff equal pay for equal work. In the primary season they did not seem to be to bent out of shape over all the rampant sexism the media directed at the female candidate, and the candidate they endorsed dished out the sexist banter also. I finally think I know what we need to do.Write this to them Dear National Organization of Women you are old out of touch, and worn torn like this old bra, out shape thread bare, and no longer serve a purpose. Since this is what you seem to represent to America "We Want You To Have This Bra", as a symbol of your uselessness, burn it like the old days because you seem to not have the fight in you. You have endorsed a candidate who does not give equal pay for equal work ( Fact ), and you never launched a national campaign against this candidate when he served up volley after volley of misogyny (Fact). As a matter of fact you dropped the ball of a national campaign against the media for the same. Now (no pun intended) with the celebration in July of Seneca Falls your little shindig in Washington only gave an honorable mention of the fact, it should had been the driving force (160 years of the women's rights movement). You got to big for your fancy putting on airs pant suit. I think it is time for the real Suffragettes & Men of Honor to take over...Sign your name and send them that old bra, you know the one that you a cannot part with like old friend you patched it maybe got a few safety pins in it, would die if someone actually seen it...(Guys You Just Let Them Know This Bra Is My Wife, or Girlfriend & She Wanted Me To Let You Know)and send it to:NOW Foundation P.O.
